Layla Madanat is a Director, Dramaturg, Producer & Researcher

She works across theatre, film, public art and the social justice sector, championing courageous stories and global perspectives.

Her process balances a rigorous approach to text and the actor’s journey, alongside the language of music, movement and play, to explore the world we’re shaping together.

Layla is currently directing Tanika Gupta’s A Doll’s House (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama), is the Assistant Director on Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo (Young Vic), and is the Resident Director on the upcoming UK Tour of Single White Female.
